Here at Bike and Brew ATX, we aim to provide unique beer tours covering different libations and different parts of the city so that visitors get a one-of-a-kind experience. Each tour is hosted by one of our lovely and informative guides who provide insights into the history and background of each location.
We offer a variety of beer tours ranging in length and location but no matter which one you pick, you can’t go wrong! Plus, with an included craft beer or spirit at each stop, how could you?
Speaking of stops, one question that arises the most is “where do you go?” While this is not an all-inclusive list, these are a few of our favorite regular stops included on most of the Bike and Brew tours.
Zilker Brewing Co.
What started as three Austin locals brewing beer in their garage has now turned into one of the community’s most beloved breweries. Zilker Brewing Company creates a multitude of craft and seasonal beers with, what they refer to as an “America-Belgian twist.” Our current favorite beer: Howdy Haze IPA.
Hops and Grain Brewing
There’s no doubt Austin is a dog-friendly city and our breweries are no different! Hops and Grain Brewing specializes not only in handcrafted beer but in natural dog treats as well. On top of making some damn good beers, Hops and Grain also incorporates sustainability into their entire business model, from sourcing their own ingredients, canning their own beer and using the spent brewing grains for the dog treats. Our current favorite beer: A Pale Mosaic.
Lazarus Brewing
From growing their own vegetables, to roasting their own coffee, the creators of Lazarus were only steps away from becoming brew masters. So they did. Lazarus Brewing combines all of their passions under one roof with not only a taproom, but a pretty decent wine menu, espresso bar and breakfast, lunch and dinner served seven days a week. Our current favorite beer: Achilles Heel.
Blue Owl Brewing
For a truly unique beer, we have to give props to Blue Owl Brewing. Using their own technique of sour mashing, Blue Owl produces a variety of sour beers. With over a dozen different flavors and sour levels, there’s something for everyone and we promise its worth the pucker. Our current favorite beer: Spirit Animal.
